The Finca Chinchilla is a local family owned organic farm of about 135 acres located in La Ribera near San Isidro del General.
We are a Costa Rican family of six (Guillermo and Luz and 4 children)

To generate income to keep the farm going we grow coffee, bananas, plantains, coconuts, star fruit,and other fruits. We also grow vegetables in Luz's organic gardens. We have composting as well as worm composting. We sell organic fruits, vegetables and eggs from our 400 chickens at the local farmers market.







Over the last 5 years we have had more then 90 guests and volunteers come to be a part of our family. All have had a great time and some of Luz's great cooking. The volunteers love working in the organic gardens and helping herd the cattle on horseback, cooling in the creek or fishing in the river. We practice healthy living so we do not want drugs or smoking.
